All changes made on trademarks in commercial life should be officially changed in Turkish Patent Institute records. For example, if an address change on the trademark is not made official, it will cause any official communication about the trademark to be made to the old address and therefore the trademark owner is not aware of it. This is a situation that causes unwanted loss of rights. Therefore, any changes on the trademark must be included in the official records.
The trademark owner is obliged to notify the Turkish Patent Institute of the changes in the company title after registration and register it in the trademark registry.
A merger is when two or more legal entities come together and continue their commercial activities under the title of one of the legal entities or under a new title.
Trademark copy is given to the trademark owner or its agent upon the request of the trademark owner or its representative.
